My journey has been shaped by my experiences as a mother, an educator, a community leader, a researcher, and a doctor. With over 30 years of service on elected and appointed boards, councils, and task forces, I’ve learned that real progress happens when we listen deeply, collaborate with intention, and take thoughtful, courageous action.

As the first person of color elected to the Upper Arlington School Board, my focus has been on opening doors and clearing the way for every student to succeed—and I’m energized to continue this important mission. I believe in the power of public education to change lives and strengthen communities.

Upper Arlington has long demonstrated its commitment to educational excellence. Our state-of-the-art facilities, dedicated educators, and passionate community partners are proof of what’s possible when we invest in our children. Now is the time to build on that legacy and take our Bears’ experience to the next level.

I’m committed to making sure every student in Upper Arlington is challenged and supported, no matter their background or circumstances. Our district shines when we celebrate its diversity and create a culture of belonging. We’re strongest when every student can see themselves in the future we’re building together.
